The US Constitution guarantees "freedom of religion" which means if you want to do spiritual work with safety under US law,
you need to organize as a church, temple or the like.
Working within a church also provides significant tax and paperwork advantages in the US.

The Community Church for Spiritual Growth is recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service
as a 501(c)3 non-profit religious organization, incorporated in the state of California.
Gifts and donaions to CCSG may qualify as a tax deduction for US taxpayers.
