Baptism is a symbolic spiritual cleansing of the body and soul, giving the person being baptized the opportunity to let go of old wrongs (karma), and thereby creating spiritual freedom and the possibility to make positive choices. Baptism is a dedication and blessing for a spirit on their path. It is a formal acknowledgment and validation for being a Spirit in a body. As with an anointing, with the use of Holy water or essential oils, the minister blesses the person being baptized.
Baptism can occur together with a baby blessing and anointing; however, it is in itself, independent of age.
